“Any idea can be a great idea if you think differently, dream big and commit to seeing it realised” – Richard Branson
Get ready to launch your own business ideas with the exciting OCR Cambridge National in Enterprise and Marketing! This hands-on, practical course gives students the entrepreneurial knowledge and real-world business skills needed to succeed in any industry.
You’ll explore what makes a successful business tick, from understanding customer needs through market research to calculating viability with financial planning (like profit and loss). Most importantly, you will develop a complete business proposal, a powerful project that culminates in an assessed 10-minute pitch in Year 11.
This pitch is a crucial part of your grade where you will present your product, brand identity, and promotional plan to an audience that will include industry professionals and your peers, (think Dragons’ Den)! This vocational qualification is equivalent to a GCSE and is designed to build essential, transferable skills in communication, analysis, and confidence.
