KS3 ONLY – Sporting Academies 2022-23

We are excited to launch our Sporting Academies for 2022-23.There will be two open sessions for pupils to try out the varying activities on offer, these will take place on Thursday 22nd September and Thursday 29th September.
Ideally pupils will attend their chosen sport for both sessions, but in the event that that sport is not right for them , or indeed full (may effect Yr8 and Yr9 Boys Football – only 24 places available), then they can select to go to another sport the week after.
Each session will start at 8.30am and finish at 10.00am. If pupils are attending an indoor sport (Boxing, Dance, Trampolining, Netball or Table Tennis) they need to meet at the Sports hall. If a pupil is attending an outdoor sport (Football, Girls Football or Rugby) they need to meet at the Astro.
Pupils will then go to their normal Period 2 timetabled lesson. ALL PUPILS MUST ATTEND SESSIONS IN THIER FULL SCHOOL PE KIT, but then change into their FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM for the remainder of the day. There will be one exception to this which will be Yr9 if they have PE that day.
Last year we had over 210 Key Stage pupils taking part in the various sports, each and everyone of them making improvements to not only their sporting skills, but attendance, attainment and behaviour!
