Signs your child may need support
It may be worth having a conversation if your child:
- spends long periods talking to AI chatbots every day
- becomes upset if they cannot access an AI chatbot
- relies on AI for emotional support instead of talking to family or friends
- asks AI for advice about relationships, mental health or important life decisions
- starts withdrawing from family, friends or activities they previously enjoyed.
These behaviours do not automatically mean there is a problem, but they may indicate that your child would benefit from additional support and open conversations about healthy technology use.
