John Spence is a popular and successful school, serving students from the North Shields area of North Tyneside.

We have an exciting opportunity for creative, hardworking professionals to join our highly effective Inclusion team as an SSA. The successful candidates may have experience of working with children in the 11-16 age range but this is not essential. They will have high expectations when supporting teaching and learning in both 1-2-1 situations and throughout the school. NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent is essential however, degree level qualification is desirable.  This role is directly linked to pupil funding and is offered for one year fixed term which may be extended depending on the pupil requirements.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team based within the Inclusion Department, working with students who exhibit the full range of Special Educational Needs. The successful candidate will work across a range of subject areas, and will have an allocation of cover supervision.
