John Spence is proud to have been a Centre for Adult Education since the day the school opened. Originally an independent centre providing the odd “evening class” we are now part of North Tyneside Council’s Adult Learning Alliance which offers a wide range of courses to large numbers of adult learners across North Tyneside.
Approximately 1000 adult learners now enrol annually for courses at John Spence. We provide a wide variety of academic, recreational and vocational courses, delivered by an enthusiastic team of committed and experienced Adult Tutors both during and after the normal school day.

Adult provision at John Spence is managed by Susan Murray. You can contact Susan at school from Monday to Thursday between 9 am and 12 pm and again between 5.30 pm and 9.00 pm. She can also be contacted by email on smurray@johnspence.org.uk
